Instituto Alcoa promove inclusão social em Juruti

Cem gestores de 52 escolas regulares das zonas urbana e rural do município de Juruti já foram capacitados na atuação com pessoas com deficiência. A formação é resultado de uma parceria entre Instituto Alcoa, Ação Social para Igualdade das Diferenças (ASID) e Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Juruti (Semed), que vem fomentando ações de inclusão no ambiente escolar.
Com esta parceria, que promove o projeto “As diferenças que ensinam e constroem”, um total de 278 estudantes que possuem algum tipo de deficiência foram beneficiados até agora no município de Juruti.
“O projeto realizou um trabalho de sensibilização muito importante. Para além do envolvimento dos gestores, ajudou a fortalecer a inclusão dessas crianças nas atividades escolares. Estamos muito felizes em perceber as mudanças e principalmente por ver que os gestores estão bem preparados para atender esses alunos”, destacou o gerente de Recursos Humanos e Relações Institucionais da Alcoa Juruti, Rogério Ribas.
Na primeira etapa do projeto, foram ouvidos estudantes, pais e professores, num diagnóstico aprofundado para definir as práticas adotadas para incluir as pessoas com deficiência no ambiente escolar. Após esse levantamento, foram realizadas oficinas de capacitação com os gestores escolares, além da criação de um guia de boas práticas de inclusão, e o acompanhamento e mentoria nas escolas.
“O projeto trouxe novas ideias para trabalharmos com as crianças. Motivou as famílias a participarem nesse processo de aprendizagem. Nas oficinas, confeccionamos vários materiais que ajudarão os estudantes nas atividades diária. Eles vão aprender brincando. Foi muito bom, uma oportunidade única que abraçamos e deu certo”, comentou Rebecca Carvalho, gestora da Escola Municipal Sementinha do Saber, na cidade de Juruti.
O projeto também contemplou um encontro de socialização de resultados, em novembro, reunindo professores, pais, estudantes, e representantes da Alcoa, da Asid e da Semed no auditório da Escola Municipal Zelinda Guimarães, onde foram divulgadas as pesquisas iniciais que nortearam as ações do projeto, a aplicação e resultados das técnicas aplicadas nas escolas.
“O projeto em Juruti, foi uma experiência muito gratificante. Foi um momento de aprendizado sobre uma nova região e sua cultura. Superamos desafios, já que muitas escolas estavam nas áreas rurais, de planalto e de lagos, o que exigiu um engajamento maior. Conseguimos passar um pouco do nosso conhecimento e experiência sobre inclusão, e nossa conquista foi ver a aplicação prática nas escolas em Juruti. Vivemos histórias e momentos marcantes. O apoio do Instituto Alcoa foi fundamental e hoje temos gestores confiantes e capacitados para dar continuidade nas ações”, ressaltou Lucas Zagonel, coordenador do projeto da Asid.
