Prefeito tem dúvidas quanto às vantagens

Ontem, dia em que Tamarana comemorou 12 anos de emancipação, o prefeito da cidade, Beto Siena (DEM), esteve na redação da FOLHA para comentar a notícia da descoberta geológica em seu município.Acompanhado do secretário de finanças, Cleudemir Catai, o prefeito destacou que atualmente a grande indústria do município é a agricultura. Mais da metade da população, 52%, está na Zona Rural.“Temos um déficit de vagas de emprego, precisamos industrializar. Porém, temos que analisar tudo com muita cautela. No caso dos minérios, o ideal é que, além da exploração, a industrialização também ocorra na cidade. As grandes preocupações são: por quanto tempo vai acontecer a exploração? E a questão ambiental? E os pequenos produtores ?“, questionou o prefeito.Segundo Renata Moro, geóloga do DNPM, o município onde ocorre a exploração mineral recebe 65% da Compensação Financeira de Exploração de Recursos Minerais (Cfem). Essa compensação é de 2% sobre o valor líquido do minério extraído. Os outros 35% são repassados para o Estado e para a União Federal.O proprietário da área onde acontece a pesquisa recebe como royalty um valor de 50% do valor da Cfem, que serve como base de cálculo para tal repasse. “O dono da terra também recebe uma indenização de acordo com os danos causados à sua propriedade“, finalizou a geóloga.(W.S.)
