Vale investirá US$ 500 mi em potássio na Argentina

A Vale, maior produtora de ferro do mundo, investirá cerca de US$ 500 milhões em exploração de potássio na Patagônia na Argentina, segundo o jornal Buenos Aires Económico (BAE).
A Vale está procurando explorar minas de potássio para abastecer a demanda por fertilizantes no Brasil e Argentina. A demanda por potássio no Brasil é cerca de 6 milhões de toneladas por ano, segundo informou o jornal.
A empresa deve enfrentar um aumento de custo em seu investimento, uma vez que o governo da Argentina considera a possibilidade de aumentar os imposto sobre exportações para mineradoras, e aumentar a receita federal.
