Anglo American recebe Prêmio Ser Humano

A Anglo American recebeu, nesta semana, o Prêmio Ser Humano, concedido pela Associação Brasileira de Recursos Humanos – Seção Minas Gerais (ABRH-MG), na categoria Sustentabilidade. O case inscrito contou todos os detalhes do Programa Lótus, um plano de atividades criado exclusivamente pela companhia, com foco nos empregados que estavam em layoff, suspensão temporária do contrato de trabalho, que encerrou no último mês.
O Lótus ofereceu, pelo período de junho a novembro, diversas atividades aos empregados e familiares, algumas abertas para a comunidade e terceirizados, que ultrapassam, em muito, a carga horária mínima de 60 horas por mês (em treinamentos e capacitação) prevista pela legislação para esse tipo de situação. “O programa foi criado pensando em materializar o propósito da Anglo American de re-imaginar a mineração para melhorar a vida das pessoas. O Lótus nos dá a sensação de dever cumprido, porque fizemos a diferença, e o impacto foi massivo”, afirma Carlos Alberto Hilário, diretor de Recursos Humanos da Anglo American.
Realizada pela 17ª vez, a premiação da ABRH – MG tem o objetivo de difundir bons exemplos das organizações que possam servir de espelho para as demais, contribuindo para que as empresas sejam cada vez mais avançadas, sólidas, éticas e com resultados sustentáveis.
