Exportações do RN crescem 12% no ano sem petróleo

As exportações do Rio Grande do Norte registraram aumento de 12,9% no acumulado entre janeiro e setembro, chegando a US$ 249,3 milhões (R$ 448,7 milhões), sem considerar o petróleo, que ainda não foi exportado este ano. Melão, castanha de caju e camarão continuam liderando a pauta. Juntos, eles representam quase 40% do total. Dentre estes três produtos, entretanto, apenas o melão teve crescimento nas vendas, de 66,4%. Castanha de caju e camarão tiveram desempenho negativo, de -18,2% e -29,6%, respectivamente. Por outro lado, houve pelo menos seis produtos entre os 25 principais itens da pauta tiveram incremento acima de 100%. A cera de carnaúba, por exemplo, teve aumento de 472,2%, reunindo US$ 5,05 milhões (R$ 9,09 milhões) este ano, contra US$ 883,9 mil (R$ 1,59 milhão) do mesmo período do ano passado. A mineração é outro destaque. O tungstênio (extraído da xelita) alcançou a marca de US$ 1,74 milhão (R$ 3,13 milhões), 226,3% a mais do que em 2006. Já mercadorias como álcool combustível e T-Shirts (camisetas) tiveram o valor de suas exportações reduzido em 63% em relação ao ano passado. Apesar de o dólar se manter abaixo dos R$ 2 e da forte concorrência com a China, a T-Shirt é o único produto têxtil entre os 25 principais que registrou queda. Cobertores e mantas e roupa de cama tiveram aumento de 211,6% e 41,5% e 100%, respectivamente.
